This Paper Ship is the illustration and art direction studio of Joel and Ashley Selby from North Carolina (love these husband/wife teams!). They specialize in “whimsical illustration and hand lettering, branding for quirky businesses, playful photography, and book design and layout” according to their cute site. They have a ton of prints available in their store along with some cute cards but I think these pics would be so great in any nursery. Love the subdued watercolour feel. Great work!
I’ve been a big fan of Matt Kaufenberg on Dribbble for awhile and he’s been posting some exciting Avengers concepts lately that I’m excited to see. For now, here are my current favourites. The Rocketeer Essentials and Indiana Jones Valentine are amazing. I love the line texture and sense of scale in his characters. Holy moly! I can’t get over how cool these cut paper illustrations are by German born illutrator Ellen Gigganbach. She lives and works in New Zealand now but you can clearly see her German folk heritage in her work.
