Chris Sandlin, aka SockMonkee, has such a great illustration style, I think he would make amazing kids books. His characters have such great personalities and I love the simple 2-3 colour renderings. Great work. You can pick up some tees with his work on them, but sadly, not in kids sizes.

I’ve been planning on doing a series of instrument prints for my Etsy shop so I’m really liking this picasso inspired set by Brad Woodard. They’d make lovely nursery prints. He has alot of great work on his site and you can pick up any of these prints in his shop.

I’ve been a been fan of Scotty Reifsnyder since I saw his Paul Bunyan prints for Wilco so I was very excited to see he’s done some work for Disney! I love this 4 colour poster he designed for The Incredibles. Disney will be featuring this piece along with more prints from other young illustrators in a unique art gallery at WonderGround Downtown Disney® District at the Disneyland® Resort this summer. Sounds like an interesting idea, will have to keep an eye out for other prints.

Stumbled on the amazing work of Irish illustrator Steve Simpson. He has a ton of editorial and design work on his site to be admired, but what I really loved where his children book illustrations like these ones for Dragún. It looks as though he’s working on an ipad app as well if you check out his blog. Will definitely be staying tuned for that!

I love the mix between Yasmeen Ismail‘s whimsical watercolours, cut paper and DIY-esque photocopy images. Although her illustrations are incredibly polished and beautiful, they have this carefree quality to them the way children’s illustrations do. Love all her work. Pick up some of her prints here.

Bomboland is the studio of Elisa Cerri + Maurizio Santucci from Lucca, Italy. Their edition of Treasure Island is beautiful and features this great combination of digital illustration and cut paper. You can check out more of their work and kids books on their site.

I love these kids zine’s illustrated by Greg Pizzoli! Klip Klop was screenprinted with 22 layers (!!!) and C’mon, Go! is a great example of simple 3 colour offset. You can pick up your own copies in his Etsy store or check out his portfolio to see his process. He has a great section on his sketchbook, which these zines are based off of.
